Here is my story....

Welcome to my first blog! I want to start out by telling you my story of how I became a mom, and I want to hear yours too!

I met my husband, Michael, when we were both 17. We fell madly in love right away, moved fast, and we were married by 19! He is the love of my life, my best friend. We always wanted kids together, but unfortunately had 2 miscarriages before my son. Each was difficult, each creating a huge cloud of doubt of us having our own family. Granted, we do have two dachshunds, but it's not the same! After the second miscarriage, we focused on our careers, my college classes, and getting a house. Once we had all that settled, we thought we were on the down hill slide. Wrong! Michael and I lost 2 people we very much loved that year, his cousin and my grandfather.  Two weeks after my grandfather's passing, I found out I was pregnant! I was more nervous than excited this time, due to our history. The pregnancy went well....until the last trimester. I gained A LOT of water weight and developed preeclampsia and was induced 2 1/2 weeks early. Everything turned out fine, and I finally met my little man, Wyette James (after my grandfather)!

It has been more than a year now since that day. Motherhood has been such a blessing, and a great deal of times, a challenge! But I have to say I have changed so much and become a new, more loving and grateful person because of my son. Everyday it is something new and exciting, sometimes frustrating experience!

I want to share my experiences with you, and I hope you do the same! It can be lonely and scary sometimes, especially if you are new to motherhood like myself! I hope this can become a place for women to share their thoughts and stories about anything related to family life (marriage/partnerships/children/pregnancy/you name it!)

Now that I have shared my story with you, please tell me yours!
